Most days I don't have much to say, but today's not most days
As I sit back and watch I know my family is safe
But for people like George, that's really never the case
I'll never understand but don't pretend it's not about race.

It's systemic in nature, the only cure to the hatred is understanding our neighbors cuz it's within us that's sacred
I know so many people on an individual basis cuz that's the only way to truly know what someone is facing.

I've parked for a traffic stop but I don't know what it's like to get shot there
And I like to jog, but someone tell me how is that a cause to kill Ahmaud in the fresh air?
Whether it's bird watching in Central Park or jaywalking right past a guard or taking a knee before the anthem starts
